This activity is not about finding the right answers. Your child may ask questions you cannot answer or jump from one idea to another, and that is expected. Try not to rush to explanations or corrections. Your role is to explore alongside them, model wondering out loud and show that not knowing can be the start of learning.

How it works
- Go for a walk indoors or outdoors together.
- Invite your child to notice something interesting along the way.
- Ask them to form a question that starts with “why”.
- Pause and let them share their ideas first.
- Add your own thoughts without framing them as the answer.
- Encourage a follow-up “Why” if curiosity continues.
- If neither of you knows, wonder together about how you could find out later.
- Repeat with new observations as you walk.
